A Revolutionary HIV Vaccine Is Going to Be Tested on 600 People Next Year

There were approximately 36.7 million people worldwide living with HIV/AIDS at the end of 2015. Of these, 1.8 million were children. Researchers have created a preventative HIV vaccine using a genetically modified killed whole-virus, the first to receive approval by the FDA to proceed to Phase II of human clinical trials.
